The temperature probe is normally used to control the temperature in the silo or filter, installed in the upper chamber where the air is clean. It is equipped with a sheath to avoid direct contact with the potentially explosive atmosphere inside.
The thermal conductivity of the sheath transfers the temperature to the probe. It signals the presence of overheating caused by a fire in progress or by an evolving outbreak. Its normally open contact closes when the temperature exceeds 80°C and reopens when the temperature drops by about 14°C. It requires a voltage of 24Vdc which is used to control an acoustic and optical signal.Features• IP67 brass temperature probe, double thread (probe side M22x1, cable outlet side 3/4" NPT, body diameter 19mm, length 83mm, key 27mm.• Contact type: N.O. Normally Open.• Closes when the temperature exceeds 80°C, reopens when the temperature drops by approximately 14°C.• Contact capacity 1A 24Vdc (max voltage 28Vdc).• Electrical connections with 2 free wires length 300mm in IP66 aluminum junction box in Atex II 2GD Ex d IIC execution, 2 inputs 3/4" NPT with 3+3 terminals.Present screw earth terminal both inside and outside the box.• Brass thermal separation sheath, internal thread M22x1, external thread 3/4" NPT, diameter 21mm, length 60mm, key 27mm.• Fittings: 1 M-F elbow 3/4"-3/4", 1 weld nut 3/4".• Sensor working temperature -40 + 125°C.• Packaging mm 150x145x110.• Gross weight kg 0.9.INSTALLATIONDrill the wall of the silo or filter and insert the sheath, fixing it with the 3/4" weld nut or with another suitable fixing solution. Insert the thermal probe inside the sheath, previously assembled with the junction box using the fittings provided, screwing it into the threaded part. The installer must ensure that the assembly operations guarantee the separation between the internal environment and the external environment.
